| Physical Description | Composed the way all Vorta are, he moves through rooms like someone who prefers not to be noticed until he has already assessed everything worth assessing. His features are fine boned and pale in the standard Vorta way and his eyes are a deeper violet than most of his kind, a deliberate genetic choice whose significance the Founders have not explained to him and which he has not asked about. He dresses in formal Dominion administrative attire and wears it with the kind of ease that suggests he has never worn anything else. There is a warmth to his expression that reads as genuine before anyone has thought carefully about why and he is aware of that quality and uses it deliberately without making the deliberateness visible. |
Personality & Traits
| General Overview | Talvon is the first iteration of a new Vorta line commissioned by the Founders in the aftermath of the war, built on the accumulated lessons and diplomatic record of the Weyoun line rather than its genetics. He carries none of Weyoun's specific history but has been briefed on everything that history produced and designed to apply those lessons without the limitations that occasionally made Weyoun his own worst enemy. He is patient and genuinely warm in ways that tend to register as trustworthy before anyone has thought carefully about why and he has a precise understanding of what the treaty requires and what it does not that the Founders consider one of his most valuable qualities. He is more honest than Weyoun, selectively and strategically but genuinely. He has concluded from studying the Weyoun record that the moments where Weyoun's relationships with non-Dominion operatives became complicated were almost always moments where the manipulation was visible enough to register. Talvon's approach is to tell as much of the truth as serves the Dominion's interests and let the parts he does not share stay unasked rather than obscured behind something the other person might eventually see through. |
| Strengths & Weaknesses | Strengths: Talvon builds genuine working relationships with independent operators in ways that more senior Vorta tend to find beneath their attention and that the recovery program has identified as its most valuable near term priority. He is patient in a way that goes beyond training or discipline, genuinely unhurried in a way that solids tend to find reassuring rather than suspicious. Weaknesses: Talvon is the first iteration of his line and carries less accumulated memory than the Weyoun line had built across eight iterations. He is building credibility with the Founders and the Jem'Hadar from a position that Weyoun never had to because Weyoun's credibility was inherited. He is also aware that he was designed rather than developed and that awareness occasionally produces a self consciousness about his own responses that he has not fully worked through. When he is uncertain whether a reaction is genuine or engineered he tends to go quiet in ways that observant people notice. |
| Ambitions | Talvon wants the recovery program to succeed and he wants to be the reason it succeeds. Those two things are not in tension for him. He is also aware that he is the first iteration of his line and that everything he does will shape what subsequent iterations inherit. The Weyoun line built its reputation across eight iterations. Talvon intends to build his across the first one. He is also genuinely curious about solids in a way that the Weyoun record documents but does not fully explain, particularly those individuals who make decisions that serve their long term interests at the cost of their immediate ones. Those individuals are the ones he pays the most attention to and the ones the recovery program finds most useful. |
| Personal History | Talvon's first activation came in 2378, three years after the treaty. The Founders spent those three years reviewing the complete Weyoun record, every diplomatic outcome, every strategic decision, every relationship that succeeded and every one that failed, and building the genetic and psychological template for a line that would serve the recovery program specifically rather than the Dominion's general administrative needs. He was briefed extensively on the war, the treaty, the verification framework, and the gaps in that framework before he was given any operational responsibilities. The Founders wanted him to understand the situation completely before he began operating within it and that comprehensive briefing is one of the things that distinguishes him from earlier Vorta iterations who were deployed into situations and learned them as they went. His first operational assignment was the cultivation of independent relationships in the Gamma Quadrant's fringe territories, exactly the kind of work the recovery program identified as its most valuable near term priority and exactly the kind of work that Weyoun's more confrontational style was not well suited to. Talvon has been building those relationships quietly and methodically since his activation and the results have exceeded the Founders' projected timeline. He is aware that he is the first iteration of his line and that everything he does will shape what subsequent iterations inherit. That awareness is not a burden to him. It is a motivation. |
| Service Record | 2376: First activation. Extensive briefing on war, treaty, and recovery program priorities. 2376 to 2379: Initial operational deployment, cultivation of independent operator relationships across Gamma Quadrant fringe territories. 2379 to present: Primary Vorta administrator for external relations and recovery coordination. Reports directly to Oran rather than to the Link collectively. |
