The payout is substantial and the market for that kind of equipment is hot enough to make it an easy yes. The intercept goes smoothly. The handoff does not. The buyer turns out to be a Dominion operative with an agenda nobody briefed the crew on and now they are tangled up in something they didn't sign up for and can't easily walk away from. |

Mission Summary
What looks like a straightforward cargo intercept job from a Ferengi broker turns out to be anything but. The crew pulls off the theft cleanly enough but the buyer waiting on the other end is a Dominion operative who has been using them to move pieces into position for something larger. They came in looking for a payday and walked out as unwilling participants in someone else's operation, with the Dominion now aware they exist and interested in what they might be useful for next.
