Posting Rules, Standards & Activity
Posts are written in past tense.
These are the following minimum expected requirements for posting:
You are expected to meet the SIM requirements of posts every month. All players are required two posts a month. If you are unable to meet these requirements you must request a Leave Of Absence. It will not be denied but you must notify the CO and the XO. Failure to do so under anything other than extenuating circumstances will result in us contacting you, then strikes being issued accordingly. Constantly replying with one liner tags or something that makes it difficult for other writers to work off of will not be tolerated. Once in a while isn’t an issue, but if it is obvious you are a difficult writer to work with and not contributing equally solid content as other writers are, you will be warned to participate accordingly. If you fail to do so we may remove you from the SIM without additional warning. This is in accordance with SIM policy. Players are not allowed to leave any posts inactive for over a month.
Please ensure that your posts are decently long and provide substance to your character and post as well as to the mission and what is going on around them if applicable. Continuous short posts will be issued warnings and eventually a strike as I see fit. Posts written by an individual should be at least 500 words as a minimum.
Any posts written by 2 or more individuals must be at least 800 words. To be counted in the authors of a non-solo post (read: for it to count toward your monthly post quota), a player must contribute at least 200 words to the post.
In addition, paragraphs should be roughly 4-6 sentences each for structure.
A post should be split every 3 pages of content (according to G-docs: Arial 11pt). We do not split based on word count.

Requesting LoA or ELoA at the end of the month and not having posts completed will result in a strike being issued. If you request LoA or ELoA closer to the middle of the middle of the month, you will need to have at least 1 post complete (Or that will be up soon if waiting on another player to complete and post) in order to avoid receiving a strike. Strikes in these events are issued on a case by case basis and at the discretion of the Command team.
The amount of activity you have on the SIM is up to you as a writer and your personal schedule. Other folks not tagging back on posts is not a valid reason to fail to meet the SIM requirements for posting. As necessary you can write solo posts to ensure you meet these standards.
If another writer has failed to tag back on a post for 3 days, you may write a simple line for them in order to progress the post. Remember to be conservative and respectful of the other writers character and if you have any questions, reach out to the Command Staff.
