Check-in For Check Up - Part 2

She had barely spoken in greater detail with Mei-Lin. As for this man, while gorgeous, she wouldn't be wooed by looks alone. She continued running the scanner over him before walking over to a nearby panel to look at the results a bit more detailed. She took note of the muscle fibers in his arms and shoulders, various stages of damage and healing, typical for the natural development of muscle under heavy strain. "Do you take any sort of supplements for vitamins? If not, I would recommend you do."

As secretive as Romulans can be, Avery was pleasantly surprised when T’Vara brought up the idea of a “date”. She was almost charming. He liked her. Morgan would let the personal matters drop for now, but would definitely take her up on the meal and drink offer.

“As a matter of fact, I do. Calcium, niacin, vitamins C and D. What else would you recommend?” Morgan cleared his throat to change the subject. “By the way, I like viinerine. I don’t know how to make it, but I would be honored to share some with you over some Romulan ale.”

T'Vara knew of the dish but was unaware of it's preparation herself. "That makes two of us. Many of the ways of my people are lost on me, we had to make due with very little and as a result, well I never bothered to try it. Maybe someone on Ferengianr knows how to make a decent dish, although I doubt it. Honestly the ale is what I'm more worried about." She returned back to his question at hand "A vitamin B-complex along with vitamin A should over what your human body needs." She walked over and grabbed a hypo spray, loading it with a canister and handed it to him. An injection one a week will work, and that should last you three months."

Avery hopped off the biobed and straightened his shirt and vest. He was going to like it here. Not just being in the same room with T’Vara, but being part of Dutchman and its crew. He turned to the exit, ready to leave.

“Alright then, thanks very much. I’ll see you around then. I won’t forget our dinner date. I can do wonders with a replicator. Just call me should you need anything such as repairs and such. I’d be happy to take a look,” Avery said casually. “Bye, T’Vara.”

"Goodbye, Chief. I look forward to a good ale when we do decide on dinner." She found it interesting at the notion of it being called a date, a human notion likely for comfort in labeling something. She hoped for a good drink and hopefully decent conversation. With two other women having eyes for the captain, and Cormus, while capable in his role presumably, she had yet to meet so he definitely was not on her radar. As for this Avery, who knew. There were several factors she needed to calculate. Age, compatibility, conversation, and his background. While T'Vara wasn't sure where he came from, the man screamed prior service of some sort with his haircut and disciplined look. He was damn near a recruitment poster.

And considering her past experience with organized governments and entities, it was definitely something to be wary of.

Before departing sickbay, Avery’s gaze lingered momentarily on the Romulan. He thought for sure he saw a dimpled smile materialize on her pretty face. The doors parted and Morgan stopped at the threshold and leaned against the doorframe.

“You know, Mei-Lin calls me Chief, Sykes calls me Chief. You can call me Avery. I’ll work on the Romulan ale we talked about.”

For the moment she decided things would remain professional due this being her assigned station. Whether she would address him as Avery was yet to be seen. "If you need anything else Chief Morgan, stop back by and I'll ensure you are provided with the best care I am able to provide." It seemed he was either laying on the charm or developed an immediate infatuation for her. Either way, it wasn't something as common to her or her species.

She simply made her way back to her desk as Avery departed.
