The gesture didn’t need to be made in itself, Tiraa could feel his strong reaction even without the physical sign, and it almost made her roll her eyes herself. His feelings on the comparison aside, she had made her point. “Very well. Was there anything else?”

“Not for this, no. How are you and Rallid getting settled? Everything good so far?” He knew it was important for everyone to be as comfortable and as familiar as possible with their surroundings.

“Heavens no.” Tiraa chuckled. “I could not bring myself to live in such a bland grey box, but Rallid is taking care of it though and I have every faith in his ability.”

“It definitely could use a lot of sprucing up, not exactly a lot of decorative character on board” he agreed. “I have no doubt Rallid will get things up to par for you.” Zedd appreciated her honesty and candor across the board. For a moment he did recall his thoughts of her during their first meeting, and the level of attractiveness she had. It was interesting to see her tone shift a bit since coming on board, almost a little more at ease, but just as beautiful and just as deadly. Ironically however it led to fleeting thoughts of Lindsy, and he found himself zoning out for a moment before snapping back to reality. He needed to focus and lock in on the mission for the time being.

When he returned from his brief drift into his mind Zedd found himself looking into Tiraa’s intense black eyes. They weren’t cold or vacant like many would have expected of Betazoid eyes, instead he could see the warmth reflected there; he could also see that she knew exactly what his mind had been lingering on, and the slightly amused smirk on her full lips only confirmed any suspicion he may have had of her knowledge. She spared him by not pointing anything out, and instead spoke with an easy, joking tone.

“Perhaps you should find a decorator before we leave port, hm?”

He returned a grin “Sounds like you already know one, although I’m sure he’ll be busy. Looking for one may not be a terrible idea, although honestly I don’t have much of an eye for it the way the ladies do. I could always send Lindsy off to go and look for someone, she has been doing pretty good running tasks back and forth on the planet and docking ring that I’ve needed done. Probably would be more than worth the latinum it cost.” Again he caught himself, something was keeping an interest in her, but he had spent time talking with Mei-Lin and talking about her childhood cat Circuit. It seemed he had some things to sort out.

However, Zedd finally actually paid attention to the other woman’s eyes. He wasn’t sure why he hadn’t noticed before, probably everything around him being so…intoxicating. “Your eyes, you’re not pure Orion are you?” Very few species had an all black iris, even when mixed.

Tiraa grinned and moved into his personal space and closer. She lifted one finger, tracing it along his jaw and stopping at his chin which she lifted with just the tip of her finger. “If I was pure Orion, you wouldn’t have time to think of Mei-Lin and Lindsy.”

She winked at him and then pulled back. “I can take care of the decorator, Zedd. Let your navigator do her job so we can get this first excursion going.”

A look of surprise showed on his face, his mouth slightly agape when she mentioned the other two women. He wasn’t embarrassed, just mindful of what her given ability was. It would be helpful in the future for sure when it came to negotiations and the like. Save his personal life but that was the least of his worries, to hide those thoughts.

“Appreciated, I’ll have her continue her assignments and look at getting the contingency plans for the mission developed by each of the department leads. Hopefully we’re out of here soon.”

“That is the hope.” Tiraa placed a hand on her hip and shifted her weight to it, naturally accentuating her figure under her tailored clothes. “Anything else then?”

Zedd was beginning to feel the need to take a cold sonic shower. It was probably best he let his XO continue on with her business whatever it may be when she wasn’t on the bridge. “I think we’re good for now, I’ll let you get back to your decorating and getting settled in.”

“Giving myself a tour. I should know the ship I’ll be living on after all.” She turned for the door then, walking at an unhurried pace. “Call me if anything fun or exciting comes up.”

The Captain gave a nod in response “Will do”. He allowed his eyes to linger a moment as the door closed behind her, shaking his head to clear any lingering trance after. He wondered if T’Vara had anything that could help reduce the effects he was experiencing.

However, to help shift his focus, he turned to putting together a schedule for everyone to test out their new space suits and verify zero G before continuing forward….
